Welcome to Farmgate Flowers. By using this website or purchasing from Farmgate Flowers, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

About Farmgate Flowers

Farmgate Flowers is a small, independent flower-growing business based in New Zealand. Our products are grown, harvested, prepared and packed with care, and availability can vary depending on the growing season, weather and crop.

Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected at the price shown at the time of ordering.

Once your order has been received and payment has been successfully processed, you will receive an order confirmation.

Farmgate Flowers reserves the right to cancel or decline an order where a product is unavailable, incorrectly listed, or there is an issue with payment. If we cancel an order after payment has been made, you will receive a full refund for the cancelled item.

Product Descriptions & Photos

We do our best to provide accurate descriptions and photographs of our flowers, seeds and dahlia tubers.

Flowers and plants are naturally variable, and colours, shapes, sizes and growing characteristics may differ from photographs.

Dahlia tubers are living plants and can vary in size and appearance. We carefully inspect and prepare our tubers before sending them out, but natural variation is to be expected.

Seed-grown flowers are also naturally variable and may not come true to the exact colour, form or characteristics of the parent plant.

Dahlia Tubers

Dahlia tubers are seasonal products and are supplied according to availability.

Tubers are carefully lifted, cleaned, divided, inspected and stored before being prepared for sale.

Once a tuber has been planted or grown, its performance can be affected by many factors outside our control, including soil, weather, watering, pests, disease and growing conditions. For this reason, Farmgate Flowers cannot guarantee the eventual growth, flowering performance or colour of a planted tuber.

If you have a concern about a tuber when it arrives, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order, preferably with photographs.

Seeds

Seeds are a natural product and germination can be affected by factors including temperature, moisture, soil, sowing depth, storage and growing conditions.

Farmgate Flowers does not guarantee germination rates or the eventual characteristics of plants grown from seed.

Fresh Flowers

Fresh flowers are a perishable, seasonal product. We harvest and prepare flowers as close to dispatch as practical, but their appearance and vase life can be affected by weather, transport and handling.

If your flowers arrive significantly damaged or you have another concern with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order, with photographs where possible.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise stated.

Farmgate Flowers reserves the right to change prices, products and availability at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been confirmed and paid for.

Payment

Payment must be completed at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed with Farmgate Flowers.

We use the payment methods made available through our online store. We do not store your full payment card details.

Shipping & Delivery

Orders will be dispatched using the shipping method selected at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, weather, rural delivery schedules or circumstances outside our control.

Please ensure that the delivery address provided at checkout is correct. Farmgate Flowers cannot be responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete delivery address.

Refunds & Order Issues

If you have a concern about your order, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it.

Please provide your order number and photographs where appropriate so that we can assess the issue.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please contact Farmgate Flowers as soon as possible.

Once an order has been packed or dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Seasonal products such as dahlia tubers and seeds may have limited availability, so cancellations cannot always be accommodated once an order has been processed.

Website Use

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes and not to misuse, copy, interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website.

All photographs, written content, branding, logos and other material belonging to Farmgate Flowers remain the property of Farmgate Flowers unless otherwise stated.

Availability

We do our best to keep our website information and stock levels up to date. However, as a small seasonal growing business, availability can change quickly.

If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate solution, including a refund where applicable.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Farmgate Flowers is not responsible for losses or damage resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, extreme weather, natural events, incorrect delivery information or growing conditions beyond our control.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits any rights you may have under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Changes to These Terms

Farmgate Flowers may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version published on this website will apply to orders placed after the updated terms come into effect.
